Southend City Jam is back for the fifth year until 30 August 2026.
The (free!) three day festival will end the summer holidays with an explosion of colour and creativity. Watch artists from across the UK and around the world transform walls across the city centre and seafront, turning Southend into a vibrant open-air gallery.

Pop-up Park
High Street / 28-30 August / 11am-5pm
Watch more than 15 artists transform two giant mural walls, including a collective of talented 13–17-year-olds painting alongside established creatives. Browse original art, prints and merch at Tom ‘Welly’ Well’s pop-up shop, then grab a drink from The Royal Hotel bar and soak up the atmosphere across the weekend.
Walk-Up Workshop

Join artists K&B and get hands-on with street art at our seafront cube! Learn tips, tricks and creative techniques as you experiment with spray paint and add your own designs to this ever-changing collaborative artwork.
Community Doodle Cube
The Forum / 29-30 August / 11am-3pm
Help transform a giant cube into a colourful community masterpiece by using paint pens to add your own designs, patterns, and drawings. No experience needed, just jump in, get creative, and watch the artwork come to life with every doodle!
