Southend City Jam returns for the fifth year from 28-30 August 2026.


The (free!) three day festival is set to end the summer holidays with an explosion of colour and creativity. Watch artists from across the UK and around the world transform walls across the city centre and seafront, turning Southend into a vibrant open-air gallery.

Don't Miss

Pop-up Park

High Street / 28-30 August / 11am-5pm

Watch more than 15 artists transform two giant mural walls, including a collective of talented 13–17-year-olds painting alongside established creatives. Browse original art, prints and merch at Tom ‘Welly’ Well’s pop-up shop, then grab a drink from The Royal Hotel bar and soak up the atmosphere across the weekend.

Street Art on the Cube

The Forum / 29 August / 11am-3pm

A guided 30-minute session with artist Rask, where you can learn real street art techniques and contribute to a large-scale artwork on the side of a monster cube. Sessions must be booked here.

Walk-Up Workshop

City Beach / 29-30 August / 11am-3pm

Join artists K&B and get hands-on with street art at our seafront cube! Learn tips, tricks and creative techniques as you experiment with spray paint and add your own designs to this ever-changing collaborative artwork.

Community Doodle Cube

The Forum / 29-30 August / 11am-3pm

Help transform a giant cube into a colourful community masterpiece by using paint pens to add your own designs, patterns, and drawings. No experience needed, just jump in, get creative, and watch the artwork come to life with every doodle!

Festival Map

You can explore the City Jam artwork across Southend all year round. During the festival (28-30 August 2026), temporary walls and structures will also pop up across the city.
