Dante Arcade

Dante Arcade is a Spanish street artist known for his dynamic art style. Vibrant colors, internet codes, arcade aesthetics, or vector patterns typical of the 90s are frequent in his work. His art gives us a mind-blowing interpretation of how realism is felt and experienced in a cyber society. Throughout his art, Dante examines pop culture, mixed with retro and vintage subcultures, and creates fragmented images of these streamlines and their icons. Born in Murcia, Dante currently lives in Barcelona. His artistic journey started way back in the mind-90s. He began to paint his first pieces motivated by urban culture and as a consequence of listening to rap music and skateboarding. It was in the 90s, during his adolescence when he discovered the boom of video games, the world of comics, science fiction films, and, of course, the graffiti movement. Since then, he has been fascinated by this retro universe, from which he has not yet managed to escape. It is in this imagination where his work is regenerated bringing old tendencies ack on a current frame, where futurism is jumbled with the classic and the old with the modern.
