Mr Cenz has been scribbling on surfaces since 1984 when he first discovered hip-hop culture, immersing himself in a world that was exciting, rebellious, and free. Graffiti quickly became his language—a means of self-expression—leading to a few early encounters with the law.
Recognising the need to develop his skills legally, he secured his first commissioned mural at just 11 years old. From there, he continued to progress and experiment with his art through college and university, eventually forging a career as a professional artist. His journey has included several
solo exhibitions and high-profile commissions across the globe, from New York to Barcelona and beyond.
Over the years, he has collaborated with major brands such as Amazon, Pepsi, Puma, and Tesla, and was recently featured in The Guardian as one of the most notable street artists in the UK, alongside Banksy.
He is known for his unique and dynamic graffiti style, characterised by intricate patterns, energetic lines, and vibrant colours. While portraiture is central to much of his work, he elevates it by blending realism and surrealism, breathing life into his subjects. His pieces exude movement and emotion, as if the thoughts and feelings of the individuals depicted are coming alive, revealing a
deeper narrative beyond the image itself. He draws inspiration from the mysterious and cosmic, creating portraits that feel otherworldly and full of energy. A strong musical influence is also evident in his work, reflected in the rhythmic and funky compositions, shapes, flows, and forms. His art has
been described as “surrealist graffiti art for the soul.”
